I’ve got good news and bad news. The good news is if you’ve ever played Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition (D&D 5e), for the most part, creating a character in Star Wars 5e (SW5E) is going to be pretty familiar to you. The bad news is if you’ve never played D&D 5e, you’ll have to learn this from scratch. But don’t worry, I got you.Â
So, when making a Pirate Borg character, you’ve got one of two options: letting fate decide everything for you, aka rolling on each table and letting the dice decide, or when asked to either roll or choose, read every option and pick what fits best!
There are ten parts to making a character in Draw Steel:Â Think, Ancestry, Culture, Career, Class, Kit, Free Strikes, Complication, Determine Additional Details, and Make Connections.
There are only FIVE character options in this game: Jack Briarwood, the older brother; Dakota Travis, the best friend; Charlie Barnes, the one who moved away; Evan Holwell, the one with the crush; and Julia North, the secret girlfriend.
