About the adventure

Rural backroads are dark, dirty, and winding. The hum of your engine backed by a soundtrack to keep your eyes open is your closest companion. Your life is spent behind the wheel, flirting from one town to the next in a constant search. What drives this endless chase? Simple: there are things in the dark of night that would, if given the opportunity, hunt you right back. You're a Hunter, and you like to think you're doing this to save lives. A life of chasing and hunting the occult and things that go bump in the night has honed you into an efficient tracker, and together your group does what it can to keep those things that live on the margins of our world from creeping their way in. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Inspired by television shows such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, X-Files, and Supernatural, Monster of the Week is a game about a crew of Hunters doing what they do best. Expect danger, fighting, mysteries, mayhem, and magic as you explore the places in between the big dots on the map and come face to face with creatures of all shapes and sizes in the dark corners of the world. How to prepare

Microphones are necessary for game, but cameras are purely optional. This is a Theatre of the mind style game, so don't worry about having access to anything more that Discord and Google Sheets (where I keep my character sheet tracker).

What I provide

I provide the PDF ruleset as well as a storytelling experience that changes and evolves based on your actions. I also offer a gaming experience packed to the brim with drama, mystery, and a sense of adventure. Players who enjoy the show Supernatural will find their Winchester dreams satisfied.

Gameplay details

Players can expect a Session Zero at the start of the campaign. Prior to this a Consents in Gaming questionnaire will be sent out to ensure players are comfortable with themes and topics covered in game. Lines & Veils are an important guiding tool for me as DM when planning adventures, and I try to use Stars and Wishes to guide future adventure design. Players can expect and dangerous campaign of mystery and tension. Character death is not planned, but these things do happen when hunting monsters!

How will character creation work

Character creation happens collaboratively during Session Zero. Players should investigate which character playbooks they might be interested in and come to the game with some flexibility as there can only be one of each playbook in a group!

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
