I have been playing D&D for a decade or so, and have seriously started DMing in the last 3 years. My love of literature means that crafting a compelling narrative driven by your character will be a top priority. My love of philosophy means that you will be given the space to explore ethical questions through your character's experiences. And finally, my experience as a teacher means that I'm already well used to preparing tailored content to engage groups for hours! I hope to roll with you soon!

GM style

As a DM, I see my role as arbiter of the rules, but not a dictator of values. It is important that each character has the space to explore their own motivations and goals. My games tend to involve political and philosophical themes, and will sometimes present choices that have no clear right answer. I use Roll20, and D&DBeyond for character sheets. I like to use a lot of tools to help create an immersive sensory experience, including tactical battlemaps, ambient music, dynamic lighting and a whole smorgasbord of funny voices. It is important to me to immortalise the stories we create together at the table. For that reason, I always write detailed logs of our sessions, using input from my players to help craft the narrative. Additionally, I sometimes create original art to help illustrate our journey together (I created my banner image!)
