About the adventure
It is 751, Barovia Reckoning. Dr. Rudolph Van Richten has passed away, leaving behind an unusual request in his will. As the adventurers Fulfill the old man's final wish, they uncover terrible secrets long thought buried and gone. Raven's Crown is the classic Pathfinder 1e Adventure, Carrion Crown, reimagined in the Demiplane of Dread itself, Ravenloft! You will travel across the Domains of the Classic D&D setting following on the heels of a sinister cult, and face all manner of creatures that go bump in the night! This Campaign has elements of Horror, Mystery, and Investigation, and features epic confrontations with the classic monsters of film and literary horror. Players who love Call of Cthulhu, Bram Stoker's Dracula, and classic movie monsters will enjoy Raven's Crown! For my style, I enjoy doing voices, and involved roleplay in addition to good old Pathfinder Crunch. I have a jukebox on Roll20 loaded to bear with music for this campaign. Content Warnings: This game features elements of Violence, Gore, Psychological Trauma, and Body Horror, as well as a host of creepy crawly creatures. Please reach out if a type of creature makes you uncomfortable, and it can be easily changed. Safety Tools: In this game, we will be using the X card system to address any potentially traumatizing content. Players are encouraged to let me know of any known potentially triggering content so that I may better customize the game for them.

How to prepare
Character creation is best done through Roll20, or Herolab, if you use it. Character start at level 1, using the following rules: 1) 15 point buy 2) All Pathfinder Races of 20 RP and under allowed 3) You MUST take one Carrion Crown campaign trait, and one drawback. You may then take up to two additional traits. https://aonprd.com/Traits.aspx?Type=Campaign 4) No Clerics, Druids, Shamans, Oracles, or arcane caster archetypes that grant access to divine spells of 7th level or higher, or the channel energy class feature. To be clear, it's not that these classes do not exist, only that they are unable to traverse the mists to cross into other domains. Those classes are essentially stuck in the domain in which they are born. 5) Maximum Starting Gold for your class, plus any extra money from traits. 6) Firearms are allowed, and in fact, encouraged, with the following restrictions/changes: a) Early firearms with a capacity of 1 are considered simple weapons, and have their prices divided by 10 b) Early firearms with a capacity of greater than 1 are considered martial weapons, and have their prices divided by 5 c) All other firearms are also martial weapons, with no change in their price. d) magic ranged weapons impart their enhancement bonuses on attack and damage to their ammunition, but never the actual properties. So, a +1 bow or pistol gets a +1 to attack and damage as normal, but the bullet or arrow does NOT count as magical. ALL special properties must reside within the ammunition itself. e) Firearm ammunition may be purchased at half the listed price. 7) We will be doing background skills, TL:DR, everyone gets two extra skill points per level, but there are some restrictions on which skills you can put them into (Only Appraise, Artistry, Craft, Handle Animal, Knowledge (Engineering, Geography, History, Nobility), Linguistics, Lore, Perform, Profession, and Sleight of Hand)
What I provide
I have maps, music, tokens and everything else. you can import your own token, or if you have art you like, I can make you one.
Gameplay details
A session will, I would estimate, comprise half roleplay, a quarter exploration, and a quarter combat. That will obviously change from session to session, and chapter to chapter; the dungeon segments swing over to mostly combat and exploration, and a few in particular can be grueling. We'll do any necessary planning before session, so you can get right into the adventure! There is a good amount of investigation and roleplay in this campaign, so be prepared to talk to folks in game either through roleplay or social skills. There are mechanical consequences for bad behavior; It specifically includes the possibility of the PC's being chased by a torch and pitchfork wielding mob, so while you can technically murderhobo your way through this, it is not recommended. As a horror adventure with elements of mystery, i will try to build suspense, and when you come face to face with the creatures of the mists, expect things to get a little desperate. I will be using a system for Tarokka cards wherein characters can get their fortunes told to help them at at some point in the future. This will use a modified deck of plot twist cards, and will be used in lieu of Hero Points.

How will character creation work
Character creation can happen via email, or on roll20, once you join the game. Any other method that is convenient for you is fine. I'm flexible. To allow everyone to get the most out of the game, we will make sure characters are complete before session 1.
Players can expect
- Combat/Tactics: Medium
- Roleplay: High
- Puzzles: Low
- Experience Level: Intermediate
