How to prepare

Microphones are absolutely necessary. Please have a decent microphone. We will be facilitating voice chat through discord. Please have access to a discord account and the application. Webcams are a nice to have, but not necessary. In our virtual worlds, it can be hard to really determine what feelings people are trying to emulate with just their voice alone. I believe facial expressions really nail it down. I will have my webcam on to help drive down the role from the GM's seat.

What I provide

We will be using Foundry VTT, as well as Pathfinder's Beginner Box module. The module itself will have plenty of art directly from Paizo, as well as ambient music and curated tokens to use for the monsters. I as the GM will breathe more life into them by roleplaying it out, and challenging players to tactical combat if that's something they wish to tangle with! I'll also be catering towards those who are either completely new to TTRPGs in general, or those who may not have tangled with Pathfinder specifically. This also leads into possible Pathfinder Society sessions!

Gameplay details

During session 0, I have a checklist of things to go over. I have implemented a safety module in Foundry which will allow players to be able to enact the X card as well as other Safety tools as need be. We will be able to discuss topics in the open, as well as me having the availability to listen to players in a more private setting.

How will character creation work

I will walk folks through character creation, especially those who are beginners. You will need access to a web browser for this (if you don't, how are you reading this?!) We will openly discuss ideas during session 0. First drafts of character creation will be facilitated using the Wanderer's Guide website. As for specific books, it is of course helpful to have your own Pathfinder 2e rulebook, but it is not necessary.
