It’s announcements from all over the spectrum in this week’s tabletop RPG news! via Random House Worlds

Random House Worlds revealed the titles and stories of two new novels set in iconic worlds inspired by Dungeons & Dragons. First is a new Dragonlance novel by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman, titled Dragonlance: War Wizard. The book is the first in a new trilogy centered around Magius and Huma in their younger days. It will release August 4 for $30.

The second announcement was for a Critical Role novel called Critical Role: The Mighty Nein – Children of Empire. As the title implies, it is meant to be a sequel to the Mighty Nein campaign that ties it into Bells Hells. It will be released on November 10 for $30.

Modiphius is producing Fallout RPG setting books for all the locations from the video games. The first confirmed books will be setting guides for New Vegas and New California. New Vegas will be first in April and feature casinos. The New California book is coming out later this year and contains player options for Vault Dwellers based on the first Fallout game. In 2027, there will be setting guides related to the Capital Wasteland, the Boston Commonwealth, and the Appalachian mountains.

Tom Clancy's The Division Takes Aim At TTRPG

via Steam

Arkhane Asylum and Ubisoft will deliver a TTRPG based on Tom Clancy’s The Division. The video game, and its sequel, are multiplayer shooter/RPGs that take place in a city stricken by a pandemic. Players take on the role of special agents tasked with keeping order on the streets. The tabletop version will hit Kickstarter soon, you can sign up on the official page to keep tabs on it.

Wes Schneider Rises Again As Ravenloft Product Lead

via WotC

The product lead of Van Richten’s Guide to Ravenloft, Wes Schneider, is also going to be the product lead for June’s upcoming avenloft: The Horrors Within. The announcement came at GaryCon, reports EN World, where it was also announced that Luke Gygax is working on a Greyhawk book. Presumably this means that Horrors Within will build off of Van Richten’s Guide in the same way Eberron: Forge of the Artificer acts as a companion to Rising From the Last War.

Looking forward to seeing how the new Ravenloft book expands on what we saw before. Hopefully we get a stat block for Bagman! Until next time, may your dice be kind.

Sergio Solórzano is the best Dungeon Master in the USA (according to a Wizards of the Coast competition, anyway). He loves minis and terrain but also goes all-in on improv!
