About me

I LOVE good storytelling and find collaborative story telling even more exciting. Not a "hack and slash" type of player. Also not much of a sandbox player because I miss the "Heroic" moments.

Whoa. Played Tabula Rakshasa one shot with Angela and I want more. She deftly handled our amnesia state and clued us in subtly about who we are and what's going on around us. We had plenty of time to establish a little bit about each other before we had to get into it. I was pleasantly surprised that despite the fact that none of us knew each other, there was not a moment of awkwardness or hesitation. We played like we'd been playing together forever...and this was so much about how Angela handled us. LOVED all the characters so much and the story was not one I would normally pick...but I might be changing my mind about that now. Most fun I've had in a while.

So, seriously, Dandy makes things so freakin' accessible. I just took a drawing workshop, but I have also done a session 0 with him...both times, very clear and very detailed instructions. I also REALLY appreciate the effort to put out a course like this one. I have seen so many people rail against AI for artwork, and I totally get it, but what are people who are not artists (and also do not have the ready coin to spend on artists yet) supposed to do? I went into this course thinking I'd give it a shot, but not with a lot of hope. I came out of it feeling super ready to do my own stuff...it won't be nearly as good as Dandy's, but it will not be stick figures on a white background and that's something. Thank you for giving the rest of us an alternative to AI produced artwork!

I have never been so thoroughly immersed in a world so quickly! I was not expecting much from a Play by Post adventure...but Alex has not only built an incredibly vivid and exciting world to play in, but also somehow provided enough context that the other complete strangers I am playing with and I have built an easy rapport and have been laughing and plotting almost from day one. His characters are playful and mysterious, drawing us deeper and deeper into the Witchlight Carnival and as we go, we are increasing our understanding of our characters, our motivations and each other. He may have spoiled me for other PbP. I've become a big DM Alex fan.

Wildly informative workshop. I have pages and pages of notes that I can apply immediately to what I'm doing. They really know their stuff.

Just beginning to learn about Foundry, so much of this workshop was a bit over my head...my bad. BUT, I took 6 pages of notes and have SO MUCH content to help me figure things out along my way. I'm so grateful that Travis put this together. the presentation was seamless, dynamic and the content was incredibly dense. 10 out of 5 recommend.
