About Sav ︱ The Curiosity

For me, the best part of TTRPGs is the laughter and camaraderie - that moment when a group of strangers suddenly has inside jokes and shared stories. I run games that are welcoming, collaborative, & character-driven. My goal is to create a space where players feel comfortable being themselves while we build something fun, weird, and memorable together. If you like character arcs, emotional beats, running jokes, and world-building together, you’ll be right at home at my table. The mechanics matter, but the story is what we’ll remember.

How Sav ︱ The Curiosity runs games

My sessions are a blend of dynamic roleplay, unexpected baddies, and unusual locations. Whether it's a zany one-shot full of bad puns or a long campaign exploring the darker side of fantasy, I aim to keep things exciting and immersive. I balance roleplay with roll-play (ensuring everyone has a chance to shine) and lean into the "Rule of Cool" to encourage creative solutions. A rewarding session, to me, is one where players are joking, scheming, and overcoming challenges together. Whether you're a newcomer or a seasoned adventurer, I invite you to join my table for an unforgettable journey!

I deal with rules issues by...

going with what would more narratively fun for the party! Rules are great guidelines, but the true purpose of the game is to have a great time, not to flip through a rule book.

My games focus on...

laughter! Even in more serious long-term campaigns, I have to squeeze in an abundance of dad jokes, puns, and ridiculously over-the-top NPCs.

When it comes to voices

the weirder the better. Embrace the cringe! Giving NPCs unique accents, voices, and cadence, doesn't just tell you about them- it adds flavor to the world!

Sav ︱ The Curiosity's ideal table

Creating a safe and inclusive space is a priority for me. I welcome players of all backgrounds, especially those new to the game or looking for a comfortable and supportive environment. I strive to have my games feel like a home session: a community where laughter, creativity, and camaraderie are at the forefront. I don't take myself too seriously and encourage players not to either!

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table

corny jokes, silly voices, pop-culture references, and absolutely terrifying consequences

I love it when a player

thinks outside of their character sheet! Some of the most memorable in-game moments for me have been when players fully leaned into the world and did things wholly unexpected.

I think min/maxing...

should be reserved for videogames. The real magic of TTRPGs lies in the possibility of failure, and how characters overcome it.
