From forbidden love to passionate liaisons to stopping at nothing to be with your true soulmate, the romance genre is full of high emotions! Romance focuses on relationships between its characters, and the tension between the forces that draw them together and those that pull them apart. We love romance stories because we want to see characters struggle with conflicting desires and ultimately decide what they truly want. Romance can appear in nearly any genre of tabletop roleplaying games, but some romantic RPGs focus on it, drawing interpersonal relationships to the forefront. Nothing motivates characters to dramatic deeds like the passionate power of love!
