About the adventure

The Red Hand of Doom is one of the greatest adventures to come out of the 3.5e era of D&D, and you can experience it updated to the 5e system! This adventure will take your party of adventures through a valley under attack, facing down a siege army, and ultimately to face one of D&D's mythic foes!!

How to prepare

You should have a basic understanding of the D&D 5e system and your character's racial and class abilities. I can teach anyone to use Roll20 as needed. Also Discord will be used so you need an account there.

What I provide

I will provide the entire Adventure, including many handouts, maps, magic items, and even a monster or two you haven't seen!

Gameplay details

This campaign involves a horde of monsters sweeping through a valley and destroying everything and everyone in its path. You must decide together how your adventuring party deals with stopping it. During Session 0 we will cover any questions you may have concerning content or rules if i have not already answered them pre-game. I have both played in this campaign and run the campaign multiple times (both in person and on Roll20) and I have never had a player that was uncomfortable with any content, but i have limited the game to 18+ to limit potential issues. I have no problems with addressing any concerns openly or privately (as a player wishes) and only wish to run any enjoyable game for everyone!

How will character creation work

You will create a Level 5 character of your own design, with 6,500 XP to start the game. You will need to keep an updated character sheet in Roll20 so that I can see your character and its abilities, but you can use any program you like to actually run the character in game. Generally I encourage players to use the Charactermancer in Roll20 for creation / leveling because I feel it makes things easier, but it is not a problem if you want to use DnDBeyond or any other methods. Stats will be determined using the point-buy system. You can take standard equipment or gold, and either way you will have 500 additional gold to represent your prior adventuring. You can use this gold for additional non-magical items or save it - your choice. Any official WoTC materials through Strixhaven are fine to use (subclasses, races, etc.), but check with me first before using any UA, 3rd party or OneDND materials.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
