About the adventure

Does the standard D&D fantasy game of go, find treasure, and become heroes seem boring to you? Do you want more roleplay, a different setting, or want to explore the world in a different way? If so, this is the game for you! You all will be part of a merchant's guild, and accompany a brand new merchant that is trying to make a name for himself. This individual is from a noble family and needs guards. He has a few, but you all are the main bodyguards that will be able to call the shots for almost all situations unless it involves trade. This will be a very open-ended campaign that allows for almost any decision you make, so come, enjoy, and most importantly profit!

How to prepare

Have a mic, a forge account (free) and do your best to remember important rules when they are told. You will not need to bring a pre-made character sheet or have your own dice. Foundry provides it all, so just be ready to play and learn as you go. If you have a token or image that you want your character to look like, then just have it ready and let me know!

What I provide

I will be bringing maps, music, and a whole world for you all to enjoy! Specific magic items and homebrew are also included.

Gameplay details

A typical game session will involve a lot of roleplay, talking, and possibly planning. This will be a more RP-focused campaign with some exploration and possibly monster slaying. You can choose almost any side objectives that you want in town, and you are able to make every decision when it comes to the open road. For example, if you see a cave you can choose to explore it or move on. Your Ward is going to be mostly incompetent in many areas except trade. You can nurture him and some of his companions to help you in many different ways. For example, having a personal potion or magical item creator. There will not be a grand narrative like in most campaigns to save the world. You will be bodyguards who try to keep a merchant alive and gain fame along with your merchant ward. The game's future is completely up to you, so go forth and chose how you want to shape the campaign!

How will character creation work

You will all be level 1 and everything will be done on Foundry. if you have DnD beyond you can use Beyond20 to transfer/use the character on Foundry, BUT IT IS EASIER TO JUST ADJUST CHARACTERS IF FOUNDRY. If you use Beyond20 please give me a link to your character so I can see/observe them. I have not used Beyond20 however, so I would not be able to help guide you. If you want to make a character come with a concept, otherwise I have 44 pre-made characters for use. Tasha’s is only allowed if the other players are fine with it. (The main issue is power creep, but please please please do not pick a class that always uses a bonus action every turn in tashas. It slows down combat a lot.) Also, if you want to make a character or use skills use the book in the top right (compendium) on foundry to find and drag over the desired item. It makes things easier, but only holds basic phb stuff in it. To roll stats, roll 4d6 and drop the lowest (1+3+5+6=14).
