About the adventure

The Witchlight Carnival, a fairground that mysteriously appears once every eight years, using magic to travel from world to world and crewed by the fantastic and wonderful, has arrived! Perhaps you enter driven to recover that which was stolen from you after you snuck in as a child; your smile, fashion sense, height, or perhaps your favored friend. Or perhaps you have been tasked by a warlock of great age and power, who seeks to know the fate of his suddenly quiet fey mistress. Either way, you enter knowing that something is amiss. Something in the dazzling lights and bright colors has a darker hue hiding underneath... Will you be the ones to discover it? Join us for a dance through the feywild in this whimsical tale of adventure spanning the early tiers of Dungeon and Dragon's 5th edition, and perhaps winging away into other Domains of Delight, or Dread in a journey through the mists, for really, the fey and the fiendish are closer than they appear...

How to prepare

Microphone is a must, as we will be communicating via Discord. Everything else is provided, including access to the entire supply of WotC published books on D&D Beyond.

What I provide

I provide the Virtual Tabletop, access to every book on D&D Beyond, and of course the narration of the story itself!

Gameplay details

Players can expect a roleplay heavy experience in this whimsical tale. While we will be exploring themes of loss in this adventure, my door is always open to any and all to ensure that players remain comfortable at the table at all times. Adventurers should be prepared to think outside the box to come to unusual conclusions, though always free to kick the door down and try to solve things 'the old fashioned way'.

How will character creation work

Characters will be created on D&D Beyond. We will have a Session 0 event to tie such characters to one another and to the plot. Characters can have me roll once for their statistics, or else accept Standard Array + a Free Feat with a submitted backstory, or Point Buy with a Free Non-Stat-Increasing Feat with a submitted backstory.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
