About the adventure
The hill giant Yegor Bonecrusher is attacking frontier villages! Will a band of intrepid adventurers succeed in defeating this menace? Have you been hearing about D&D, but don’t know where to start? Have you always been interested in fantasy role-playing, but haven’t had a chance to play? This is the place for you! Giantslayer is a level 1 D&D 5e one-shot for 4-5 players. I’ll provide pre-made characters to choose from–all drawn from iconic fantasy tropes–and we’ll have you adventuring in less than 15 minutes. Expect fast, fun, and exciting encounters and descriptions as you experience social and combat obstacles. Maybe you'll be lauded as giantslayers...

Additional Details
How to prepare
We'll be using voice chat in discord, with video being optional. So a mic and discord are the only things required. Since we'll be using discord and Roll20, a solid internet connection would be good. Basic knowledge of the game is good, too. And I mean BASIC. As long as you know you should be rolling dice sometimes, you'll be ready to play!
What I provide
I'll provide the discord link and Roll20 session. I will also have pregenerated characters and tokens available for anyone who doesn't have a player character ready.
Gameplay details
CW: reptiles and light violence. We will be using Xs and Os in the discord chat, allowing players to determine if a scene needs adjustment.

- X, N, and O Cards
How will character creation work
Pregenerated characters will be available for everyone. They will come from the traditional spectrum of core D&D races and classes. We'll take the first 15-20 minutes of the session to assign PCs and figure out party dynamics, though it is expected that everyone in the group will be at least passing familiar with each other--enough to be travelling together at least!
Players can expect
- Combat/Tactics: Medium
- Roleplay: Medium
- Puzzles: Low
- Experience Level: Beginner
