About the adventure
I am running the Dungeons & Dragons. DRAGONLANCE: SHADOW OF THE DRAGON QUEEN. This should bring characters from level 1 to level 11. Enlist in the War of the Lance Takhisis the Dragon Queen has returned to the world of Krynn. Across the land, her armies of fanatical draconians wage a brutal war of conquest. As the Dragon Armies march on the unprepared nation of Solamnia, only the defenders of the city of Kalaman stand in their way. But the Dragon Armies want more than just to crush their foes. An ancient evil in the Dragon Queen’s service seeks a magical weapon that could dominate Krynn for all time. Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen is a tale of conflict and defiance set during the legendary War of the Lance. Create characters from Krynn, the world of the Dragonlance setting, then march them to the front lines of battle against the terrifying Dragon Armies.

About me
WELL MET. Let me introduce myself, I am DM Grendel. Irish born, dyslexic, oral storyteller and lover of role playing games. They remind me of sitting round a fire with a group of friends creating new storys. I am not an actor or voice actor and don’t expect my players to be either. I am more interested in the adventures we creat together. I have been DMing since the mid 80s, forever GM on D&D, Star Trek, Star Wars, Marvel Superheroes and Vampire Masquerade among others. I am a world traveler, this has given me great insight on real world exploration, adventuring, different cultures and languages. Another string to my bow is I am a practitioner of martial arts both hand to hand and weapons giving me interesting perspectives in combat. I am trained in counselling skills and hold several qualifications in “safe guarding” for working with vulnerable people and groups. I volunteer with the blind and run games for both sighted and visually impaired players. My games are both tolerant and inclusive.

Character creation can be done by Point Buy using D&D Beyond. Create your character on D&D Beyond after accepting D&D Beyond invite to ensure we are all using the same books and resources. Characters start at level 1 and level up by milestone. We can discuss this further in game zero.

How Grendle creates a safe table
I enjoy running official D&D modules to explore the rich lore of the forgotten realms and beyond. I focus on player centric games where we work on creating new storys together. Using official D&D world as a backdrop means we can concentrate on players characters and the storys we are developing. We start our campaign with a game zero to ensure we create a safe and enjoyable game for all, where I will be employing my counselling skills to write a social contract that we all agree upon. Including what safe guards, safety tools and game mechanics we will be using within the game.
