About the adventure

Hunger Games, but with Magic, and Dungeons. This one-shot adventure will test your character's mettle as they navigate through a series of encounters and caverns to make it to the end. Choose from a selection of pre-generated level 10 characters, (or bring your own!) and plop them into this championship to see who makes it out alive.

How to prepare

work out any tech issues prior to gameplay if possible, test out any links, setup any profiles as needed etc Bring what you need to play in an online game setting. Access to a device, internet access, mic/webcam ability to navigate between 1 or more tabs or programs? Dice, or digital dice (dndbeyond and roll20 both have dice rollers baked in) We will discuss what communication platforms work best for the group during initial contact. Expect to have a free dndbeyond.com account and join the campaign to access my books for character creation etc. Beyond that, expect to use any of the following: Roll20.net, Zoom, Google Meet, Skype, discord and/or FB messenger services to video share and play/communicate together online and share content, and schedule future sessions. Come up with a short list for the DM for what you feel you need to share about yourself/what I should be aware of; what other players should be aware of etc. Pronoun preferences, triggers that cause distress, experience level, personal behavioral issues or disabilities that may impact gameplay (ie, as a DM I will share that I have ADHD and players should expect me getting off track every now and then)

What I provide

I will bring everything else, maps, npcs, overarching storylines, accompanying materials, (if I can plan ahead enough, also music that sets the tone) figurines (or figurine icons) for npcs, characters, monsters etc

Gameplay details

Standard dungeon crawl and expectations. Good sportsmanship is encouraged. Based on group dynamics, there may be backstabbing and betrayal. Players are allowed to work as a team to make it through the dungeon. THIS IS A ME vs YOU dungeon set up. Expect your characters to die, or be likely to die at any given moment. I will be fair, but the challenge is to survive the dungeon on this one. (ie Mimics may exist, but there won't be any "rocks fall everyone dies" events. For younger crowds and newer players: the goal is completion vs survival, so challenges will be more tailored to puzzles and discovery over fighting.
