About me

WELL MET. Let me introduce myself, I am DM Grendel. Irish born, dyslexic, oral storyteller and lover of role playing games. They remind me of sitting round a fire with a group of friends creating new storys. I am not an actor or voice actor and don’t expect my players to be either. I am more interested in the adventures we creat together. I have been DMing since the mid 80s, forever GM on D&D, Star Trek, Star Wars, Marvel Superheroes and Vampire Masquerade among others. I am a world traveler, this has given me great insight on real world exploration, adventuring, different cultures and languages. Another string to my bow is I am a practitioner of martial arts both hand to hand and weapons giving me interesting perspectives in combat. I am trained in counselling skills and hold several qualifications in “safe guarding” for working with vulnerable people and groups. I volunteer with the blind and run games for both sighted and visually impaired players. My games are both tolerant and inclusive.

A great GM. Has built a living world that changes by our actions and choices in ways that we get to see over time. Lots of player freedom to make our own choices and direct the adventure towards where we want to go. And he is able to adapt quickly if we change our plans out mid-session.

This is the DM you want to play with. Grendle is amazing with his story telling and doesn't give you half ass maps. You get the real deal with this one. He has got the big three, Combat, Roleplay, and Balance. You cant go wrong playing with Grendle.

Grendle is a fantastic GM for encouraging player roleplay and fostering companionship around the table. Their systems for session 0, establishing the rules, and onboarding new players are very thorough and do a great job at setting expectations. So far, my first game with them has been a lot of fun! I look forward to where the campaign will go next!

After just the first session with Grendle, I am able to tell what an amazing DM he is. The group had fairly new players and a player playing D&D for the first time, and he was able to get the new player involved and playing pretty well. The group was given plenty of chances to RP and display their characters and get rewarded for doing so. And the combat he ran was fun and a challenge. Overall just after 1 session, i'm excited to play with Grendle even more
