How to prepare

Read some Jane Austen or The Princess Bride, watch some Austen and/or Bridgerton, and bring your imagination and mystery-solving capabilities along with your sense of fun and adventure. Fill out the Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist, join the Discord Server, select a pregen PC or create one according to the rules in the Discord Server, and come ready to roleplay.

What I provide

I have the book and all files imported to FoundryVTT. Players may use a premade PC or create their own using supplied character creation guidelines. Players will need to be able to access Foundry via a web browser and Discord for chatting. As a lifelong Jane Austen fan and a lover of history and mysteries, I will do my best to do all these wonderful things justice with in-depth characters that can grow, develop, and communicate well with PCs, assist PCs with puzzles if it appears to be overwhelming, and I will provide ambiance via graphics, descriptions, and music.

Gameplay details

Before the game begins, I will send everyone a link to the Monte Cook checklist, and during Session 0, we will go over the results (keeping anything private that should be) as well as our concerns and expectations. There will be a small list of rules and links in our Discord server.

How will character creation work

Characters will be level 3 at the beginning of this small but fun adventure. A list of character creation rules will be provided in the Discord server which will be available to all players once they sign up for the game. If you are new to DnD 5e or to roleplaying or just don't feel like making a PC, there will be pregens available on a first come, first serve basis, and I am also happy to assist in the creation of PCs.
