About the adventure

Hail, Friends of Candlekeep! This listing is for any adventurer who: - wants to learn the ropes of 5e - is looking for a casual rather than an epic game - is interested in Adventurer's League styled play Candlekeep Mysteries is a selection of shorter, self-contained adventures. Each adventure will last approximately 1-3 sessions at levels 1-16. The adventures are collaborative, with a plethora of puzzles and a few set-piece combats. You will be a Friend of Candlekeep, a trusted adventurer who can go out into the Sword Coast to complete quests set by the mages. As a player, you will be able to make a character that starts at level 1 and grows to level 16! Or, you can choose to play random adventures with a new character each time. Because there is no central overarching story, your character choice is flexible. Any items and gold that you earn in your adventure can be carried over to your next session. An adventure from Candlekeep would be great for those new to D&D and veterans alike. Games will be available through Foundry VTT and will use voice chat through Discord. Sessions will be offered at a variety of times, depending on what most players' availability looks like. Payment for each session is $10 per person. I will also be available to help with character creation before every session.

How to prepare

Players will need Discord (free), a Forge VTT account (free), and a prepared character from session 0.

What I provide

I will provide software during Session 0 for players to create their own custom token, which they can keep and use for any future games!

Gameplay details

Adventures will be a self-contained adventure that will primarily be focused on dungeon exploration, key combat moments, and collaborative mystery-solving. Players will need only to prepare their character at the appropriate level of the adventure with standard creation rules.

How will character creation work

Character creation will be done through a Session 0 hosted by the DM and scheduled based on player availability.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
