It’s a thankfully short week here in the States as we prepare for a three-day holiday weekend. Hopefully the extra day off opens up your schedule to play your campaign! Until then, the tabletop RPG industry is still making news and that news is still affecting your future gaming.
In this week’s TTRPG News: Pathfinder and Starfinder’s August releases are hit hard by Diamond Distributor bankruptcy, WizKids previews new DnD minis based on new edition monster art, and Humble Bundle starts a deal on several big name TTRPGs.
Upcoming Pathfinder & Starfinder Books Won't Be Widely Available Due To Diamond Bankruptcy

Diamond Comics Distributors is going bankrupt and wants to sell its remaining inventory to pay its creditors, which will badly impact several TTRPG releases. The Diamond bankruptcy story has been going on since January – essentially the company handled distribution of comics, cards, and collectibles to retailers on behalf of big names like Marvel, Pokemon, and Paizo. In the process of going bankrupt, Diamond still needs to pay off creditors like Chase Bank.
This is where tabletop publishers are affected. Diamond is now seeking legal permission to sell all it has in stock to help pay creditors. Certain goods, called consignment, wouldn’t normally make profit until sold at retail. So if Diamond sells consignment to pay debt, Paizo and other such publishers wouldn’t see a dime. Paizo stated this week that, due to Diamond no longer distributing, its August releases will mostly not be available through Amazon or other major retailers. This includes the new Starfinder core books. Paizo urges fans to buy from it directly or order through a local game store.
WizKids Previews 2025 Monster Manual Minis

WizKids is updating classic DnD monster minis for the 2025 Monster Manual art style. The official DnD mini maker opened pre-orders for Icons of the Realms: Monster Manual Collection 1 this week. Preview images showed goblins, oozes, and elementals. There will be 47 pre-painted figures in total, sold in mystery boxes of four. A premium large figure will be made for the insectoid Remorhaz, retailing at $39.99. These minis follow the Black Dragon Corruptor, which was the first dragon mini made after the DnD 2024 visual style.
July 2025 TTRPG Humble Bundle Offers Many Big Names Under One Price
Humble Bundle has been great in recent years for delivering all you need to play one TTRPG. You pay $15-$40 and usually get a game’s core rulebook, several expansions, map packs, and more. All while donating to charity. This month’s Roll Big Or Go Home Megabundle, however, gives you core book PDFs for over 50 different games. By buying this one bundle, you can get Cyberpunk Red, Power Rangers, Call of Cthulhu, Dragonbane, Wildsea, Doctor Who, and so many more. The bundle lasts until July 22 and benefits Extra Life.
And with that, it’s another week done! Enjoy the long weekend if you got it, Americans! See you next week, and may your dice be kind.
Sergio Solórzano is the best Dungeon Master in the USA (according to a Wizards of the Coast competition, anyway). He loves minis and terrain but also goes all-in on improv!
