The year is approaching its end, but there’s still some surprises in store for the tabletop RPG world! And we’re here to deliver the big headlines in bite-sized chunks so you can get back to rolling dice.Â
In this week’s headlines: Ben 10 and Trigun announce TTRPGs, D&D Beyond Drops mixes up weapon choices, and WotC hires a DnD designer from the Cosmere RPG.Â
Ben 10 On The Way From Justice League Studio

Brazilian studio D20 Culture will release a TTRPG based on the Cartoon Network classic Ben 10. The same team is responsible for the recent Justice League Unlimited RPG. Ben 10’s website says it uses a d20 system, which Justice League Unlimited also uses. EN World reports that the game will feature over 20 species pulled from the cartoon and classes will be inspired by the various aliens Ben transformed into. Details about the Ben 10 TTRPG are said to be revealed at PAX Unplugged in December.Â
Trigun TTRPG Taking Aim At Kickstarter

Iconic anime Trigun is joining the list of famous IPs to get the tabletop RPG treatment. This adaptation will be based on the newer Trigun Stampede. The game comes from Don't Panic Games and Mana Project Studio, and is shooting for a Kickstarter campaign sometime in early 2027. Called Trigun Stampede Roleplay, ICv2 reports that it uses the Resistance System seen in Spire: The City Must Fall.
D&D Beyond Drops Adds Weapon Variety And Revives Old Species

The monthly drop on D&D Beyond brought some fun surprises for player options. First and foremost is the inclusion of a species pulled from the past, the Bariaur. This ram-centaur being hasn’t been seen since DnD 3.5e, and its 5.5e version is a Celestial with advantage on saves against going Prone. And of course it has a ramming option for its Unarmed Strike. New basic weapons were also added: the bola, pitchfork, and weighted chain. These add some variety to the DnD 5.5e weapon options, with the bola having Topple and the chain being a Finesse weapon with Graze.Â
DnD Hires Cosmere RPG Director Lyla Fujiwara
Lyla Fujiwara is the latest hire to the DnD team, brought on as a Senior Game Designer. Before this position, Fujiwara served as the project and adventure design lead for the hit Cosmere RPG. She also led the writing for Cosmere RPG adventures Stonewalkers and Mistborn Legacy. As reported by En World, Fujiwara officially joined the DnD Team last week.

Congrats to Lyla Fujiwara on the new job, looking forward to seeing great DnD developments! Until next time, thanks for reading, and may your dice be kind.Â
Sergio SolĂłrzano is the best Dungeon Master in the USA (according to an official D&D competition, anyway). He loves minis and terrain but also goes all-in on improv!Â
