Delicious Monsters of Drakkenheim Fast Level 5-15 | PbP Post
Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign
About the adventure
The Monsters of Drakkenheim all in one dungeon! The beta-test of this book is finally out for Kickstarters like me... Let me show off all the new-new in a mega-dungeon that goes from baddie to baddie at high levels. If you like the Drakkenheim world, be prepared to throw yourselves into a slugfest dungeon crawl a la Mad Mage or Yawning Portal. There's a harvesting/crafting system they've created that is very simple to follow, so we'll be utilizing that as well, to create armor, weapons, and more. For now, I want to run at specific levels that work for the monsters to be best shown off. Most of it is higher level, so we will do some level 5 encounters and then probably skip some levels in between. There are both mobs and bosses for Level 12 characters to sink their teeth into, so we will probably spend extra time around that level. If people stick around, then be prepared for the most epic boss-fights ever with Sentient Planets and Abominations From Beyond. Monster recipes and crafting are a big component of the game (Delicious in Dungeon, anyone?) It will be tough to balance wanting to show you all the monsters, and using each one to good narrative effect, but... test of a good DM ;) In Drakkenheim's second book "Sebastian Crowe's Guide", they released subclasses which I can show you for your use, or you can use a 2024 Pbh character. PM me, I'm a pretty relaxed DM, experienced enough though the number of reviews don't tell it. I usually don't charge this much for a PbP game, but it's a new 'drop'. I have maps from Czepeku I use on Foundry (you just use Discord) and have put a lot of love into this idea.

Doc offers an original premise to a published campaign that is refreshing to see. He is very responsive and respectful of his players and is very approachable in setting you up for the game. The game offers a relaxing creative space that ties back closer to what a regular game would like but in a pbp format.
Doc is a super DM! I've been in a PbP game, and he's very quick to respond when players post a move or a question. I like that he doesn't go full homebrew but also doesn't mindlessly copy the book adventures. Thick descriptions, a lighthearted approach, and a good team of players helps a lot! Taught me how to use Tupperbox and Avrae, and now I'm going to build my dream castle!

How will character creation work
Expect to start at 5, and then a slightly bumpy ride through the beta testing of whether the CR's are correct in the book. The big bad bosses you're building up to? They're CR 13 which is probably a team of 5 players at level 12 to make it fun with minions... Hope that helps define the level range we'll be playing with.
