About the adventure

Hoard of the Dragon Queen - An Epic Dragon Cult Adventure Tyranny of Dragons threatens the Sword Coast! The Cult of the Dragon, long dismissed as a fringe organization of misguided scholars and dragon enthusiasts, has revealed their true intentions. Under new leadership, they've begun amassing a hoard of treasure—for what nefarious purpose, few can say. As villages burn and caravans disappear, heroes must rise to confront this growing threat. In this campaign, you'll journey from the small town of Greenest through the wilderness of the Sword Coast, visiting nostalgic cities like Baldur's Gate, infiltrating the cult's operations and uncovering a conspiracy that reaches far beyond simple banditry. You'll face challenging combat encounters, engage in tense social interactions, and make decisions that impact the world around you. Player agency is my priority—your choices and creative problem-solving will shape how this adventure unfolds. This game is perfect for players who enjoy a mix of tactical combat and roleplaying opportunities. Whether you're infiltrating enemy camps, negotiating with potential allies, or facing off against powerful draconic foes, there's something for everyone. I welcome both experienced players and newcomers to D&D 5e—all you need is enthusiasm and a willingness to collaborate in telling an epic story together. Join me for a campaign where reliability, inclusivity, and fun are guaranteed. Together, we'll discover what the Cult of the Dragon is planning and perhaps save the Sword Coast from a threat more terrible than anyone could imagine.

Good short one shot. No frills, just a straight up game with some roleplay and combat. Great for the price. Some other DMs charge upwards of 20 bucks and deliver crap experience. This was short and sweet.

I played in a oneshot Colete was running and had an amazing time. The story was well planned and even better executed. She allowed the players the time to roleplay while keeping the story moving along. I would jump into a game run by her without any hesitation!

Just played a one-shot with Colette. She was great at setting the mood and keeping the story moving. She was good at explaining how to navigate Roll20 for a new player. I loved the fact that she knew the rules well--it really helps when players want to try something and the DM knows how to adjudicate-- but she also knows when to allow for the rule of cool.

Colette is tons of fun. (: She is always animated and excited to be guiding you through a story. She enjoys mixing things up with homebrew and has created her own campaigns from scratch. Always encourages out of the box thinking and solutions.

Colette is one of the most fun DM's I've ever played 5e with. She always balances the intensity of combat with the desire to create the most satisfying story possible. She was always willing to work with us players to maximize our agency within the fascinating worlds she built for us to explore. She always worked hard to make every session a good time for our group as well. Highly recommended!

Colette is so awesome. Over Christmas she ran a great one shot campaign for my girlfriend and I, I was a halforc sneakthief rouge, my girlfriend was a nonverbal golden retriever paladin who licked people to use lay hands and heal. It was awesome and we had so much fun. Colette is very imaginative and versatile to handle such a scenario and make it entertaining!

How to prepare

A mic (or phone with discord) and access to roll20 from a computer.

What I provide

I will bring maps, tokens, enemy stat blocks, etc. In short, everything needed to run the campaign. If you send me a picture of your character, I will create a token for you as well.

Gameplay details

Tyrany of dragons is a long campaign which spans levels 1-15+ Roleplay is heavily encouraged. Create a good backstory, perhaps add some important npcs to your characters history, and leave it vague enough for me to fill in the holes, and you just may see elements of your backstory come up during the campaign. See my website for additional details on how I run things: https://sites.google.com/view/dmcolette/home

How will character creation work

First, we will have a group discussion on discord. Instead of a session zero, we will do this to set expectations and plan characters. ❀ Make your Characters in Roll20 including writing a brief backstory. ❀ You will start at level 1 with standard array or point buy. ❀ All official Wizard's content is allowed. ❀ Homebrew may be allowed with approval. ❀ Have your character approved before session 1
