About Cara and Jirhon

This is for two of us, Jirhon and Cara. We are a gaming couple and frequently work together. Jirhon has been GMing and playing tabletop games for over 25 years. He has a wealth of knowledge about multiple gaming systems and versions. If you need to learn a game, he can help. Jirhon most enjoys running horror-style games and scenarios such as Call of Cthulhu, Kult Divinity Lost, and Hellboy. Other favorite styles of games are action, Fallout and Hyperborea, and comedy, Paranoia and Garbage and Glory. He has also GMed professional games at many conventions across the USA such as Origins, Gen Con, Pax Unplugged, Chaosium and more. Jirhon also enjoys playing and teaching skirmish games like Brutality, Necromundia, Last Dayz, Fear and Faith, and Zombicide. Cara is relatively new to tabletop games and GMing with a little over two years of experience, but has shown a natural talent. She recently debuted as a GM at Gen Con running games by Wet Ink. She enjoys all kinds of games especially sci-fi, fantasy, horror and family friendly as well as board and card games.

How Cara and Jirhon runs games

Gaming is relaxing for Jirhon and a welcome break from everyday life. He enjoys building stories with players and teaching them about games and systems. He focuses on storytelling and worldbuilding with the players' input along the way. Combat is balanced and serves to drive the plot and make the story exciting. Players can be immersed in a sense of realism and horror depending on the game. Similarly, Cara appreciates player input and wants the players to enjoy their time and get the most for their gaming experience. She also likes to balance combat and roleplaying depending on the story.
