About the adventure

The Old Lighthouse A couple hours away from the small village of Ship's End, there stands a lighthouse, built on a tiny island a few minutes away from the coast. The lighthouse is empty, deserted. If asked, the residents of Ship's End and the other nearby villages will claim that it has always been like this. However, the lighthouse once was not only populated, but it was also important. A powerful figure considered it his home, and echoes of his presence still linger. It is perhaps because of those echoes of power that the nearby villagers fear to visit the lighthouse. In fact, not a single soul has been there for decades. Despite the villagers' superstitions and warnings, there is a person who wishes to explore the lighthouse. However, he cannot do it alone. And so, he looks for young adventurers, eager to help him in his mission, and, in the process, uncover the secrets of the lighthouse. This is a one-shot adventure for level 1 characters. The characters have been hired by Linon the Cryptozoologist to assist him in exploring an abandoned lighthouse on a small island close to the coast. The lighthouse was once home to an evil wizard who disappeared about a century ago. The lighthouse and island have been abandoned since that time. Sightings of strange creatures and ghostly lights on the island have drawn Linon's interest. He has hired you to accompany him, assist him and protect him from any dangers encountered.

How to prepare

I will be using voice chat so you will need a working microphone. This is a virtual table-top so you will not need dice or sheets or anything of that sort. Players should look at what their chose class does and how their spells work if they are spellcasters. This is for level 1 so characters will be pretty simple.

How will character creation work

Player's Handbook, level . Characters should be made in advance of the game start time. Points buy or standard array for stats. Standard PHB rules for character abilities and starting equipment.
