About the adventure

High Strangeness runs amok! Your hometown friend Dave has asked you to watch over his Inn, but has disappeared, leaving behind only clues and hints to the truth that lurks in the shadows of a sleepy coastal town. This game is geared towards inquisitive players with some role-playing experience. Dungeon exploration is the central "pillar" of this ongoing campaign, with accompanying combat and opportunities for role-playing both in town and in the Dungeon. This is a Horror Campaign, and as such, carries heightened risks for character death, and potentially greater psychological stress during play, as it's themes and tone are somewhat intense.

Gameplay details

Content Warning: Body Horror, Mental Illness, High Tension This ongoing campaign centers around exploration and intrigue, unraveling the mysteries of a town rapt in fear and superstition, beset by random attacks, disappearances, lost time and other strange happenings. In an average session, players will follow a lead, questioning NPCs or delving into an impossibly large, monster infested, labyrinth to uncover where and why Dave, your childhood friend, disappeared. Players ought to have some experience with Role-playing, as skills such as mapping, navigation, inventory and weight management, and keeping track of information are crucial. Understanding 5e combat will be helpful as well, as the hazards of this town are serious and character death is on the table.
