About the adventure
Your friend, the dwarf Gundren Rockseeker, has asked you for a favour and you are now escorting a caravan full of supplies bound for the city of Phandalin. After putting the gates of Neverwinter behind you, you slowly settle into a monotonous but peaceful travelling rhythm. Your mind starts to wonder, and you are now becoming curious about the request. His tone was incredibly excited while he recounted how he had made a fabulous discovery and that he had to leave straight away, leaving you overseeing the loading of some digging material into the cart. You tell yourself you’ll soon know as you drive the cart off the main road to a dirt trail veering east towards Phandalin… Welcome to my intro session for Dungeons and Dragons. No need for you to have read the rules, the idea here is to get you up to speed with how to play while having a lot of fun. We will be using already made characters so you really don’t need to prepare anything. Just show up, ready for adventuring! If you are a veteran player, please be kind and patient, this session will really be about discovering Dungeons and Dragons and how to use the Virtual Table Top. The pace might be a bit slow for you.

How to prepare
This will be an online session. You will need the following: - Microphone - Discord account (https://discord.com/) - Forge account (https://eu.forge-vtt.com/) - Your favorite web browser - Adventuring spirit To make the session a little more interactive these are nice to have but by no means mandatory: - Webcam (that said, there will be no pressure to have it on) - Discord installed instead of the web app - DnDBeyond account (https://www.dndbeyond.com/) - Your favorite snack (and if it is crunchy, please use the mute button!)
What I provide
Again, this is a virtual session so I'll have everything setup virtually. There will be maps, character tokens, dice rolls and more!
Gameplay details
As this session is new player friendly and opened to youngsters, the content and tone will be PG rated. We might have a few non explicit description monster being defeated but that'll be pretty much it. You can also contact me before, during and after sessions to discuss a concern or a specific topic you want to avoid. We will discuss this during session 0. Concerning actual roleplaying, again, this is opened to beginners. No need to be in character all the time, if at all. I tend to mix being in character and describing NPC actions so everybody is free to do as they wish. Finally, I will be handling the heavy lifting concerning the rules. Just to keep the game going, I might roll dice for you if you struggle with the Virtual Table, that said, I will NEVER take control of your character.

How will character creation work
We will be using pre-generated characters. Everyone will be able to pick one of the hero available during session 0 and if you do not like the character you picked, you will be able to change on the next session (not during a session).
