StartPlaying tabletop RPG news is back for another week, and boy do we have some juicy headlines for you. In this week’s stories: WizKids fused two icons together to make a Potato Head Beholder mini, hit Amazon show and comic Invincible got a TTRPG, WotC revealed covers for its upcoming dragon anthology book, and Dimension 20 is taking greek myth to the ring.

WizKids Potato Head Beholder Will Haunt Your Dreams

WizKids somehow got permission from Hasbro to fuse two of its most iconic characters. The Potato Head Beholder miniature is a real $24.99 product that will hit store shelves and DnDmini.com later this year. The figure is three inches tall and sits on a 50mm base, making it actually scaled to the size of a proper beholder for use in a DnD game. But like a Mr. Potato Head toy, it also features detachable parts. Aside from the well-known hat, glasses, and mustache, Potato Head Beholder also comes with various eye rays and a bag of holding so it can really slay.

Invincible RPG On The Way From Alien RPG Lead And D&D Beyond Founder

via Free League

Free League Publishing announced a Kickstarter for an Invincible TTRPG using the Year Zero Engine. The first products out (assuming the inevitable success of the Kickstarter) will be a Core Rulebook and Starter Set. Graphic design will be headed by Johan Nohr of Mork Borg success. Design falls on the shoulders of Adam Bradford (founder of D&D Beyond) and Tomas Härenstam (lead designer of Alien RPG and Dragonbane). The Kickstarter page is active, but crowdfunding has not yet begun.

DnD Dragon Delves Alt Cover Revealed In Full

via Wizards of the Coast

The next DnD 2024 book is set to be Dragon Delves, an anthology of adventures featuring dragons in dungeons. It seems to be continuing the mindset of the 50th anniversary products by honoring the past while making the game more accessible to new players and DMs. In keeping with that, Wizards of the Coast revealed the two Dragon Delves covers.

We can see, via EN World, that the standard cover uses a font style and primary red coloring that hearkens back to older edition boxes. Meanwhile, the alt cover looks like a rad poster you’d see in someone’s bedroom in the early days of DnD. Dragon Delves is due out July 8.

Dimension 20 Throws Together Greek Myths And Wrestling In New Season

Dropout shared the trailer for its next upcoming Dimension 20 season called Titan Takedown. In another genius combination of themes, DM Brennan Lee Mulligan is setting a wrestling tournament in ancient Athens of myth. The players are a team of four WWE superstars who take on a secret, deadly melee lead by none other than Big Z Zeus himself. The four-episode season will air on April 2 and see all the production value and energy Dimension 20 is known for put to good use.
