This week: Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG gets some details, Legend of the Five Rings gets two new sourcebooks, and Star Wars FFG gets reprints.
First Details Emerge For Dungeon Crawler Carl TTRPG
Renegade shared the very basic details of its TTRPG based on the Dungeon Crawler Carl novels. According to ICv2, the game will feature cover art from novel cover artist Luciano Fleitas. An early sketch version was shown for promotional purposes. The Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG features the standard dynamic of players as crawlers with a Game Master playing everything else. Players can make a custom character or play as Carl, Donut, Florin, or Prepotente. One-on-one play with a solo player and GM is also supported. A BackerKit campaign for the game will launch in April 2026.
Edge Studio Opens The Emerald Empire For L5R
A new sourcebook for Legend of the Five Rings is coming in a few days. On November 21, players will be able to buy the Emerald Empire sourcebook. The book will go into greater detail on the setting of Rokugan. It will also provide more player options such as how to hail from the Imperial Families, and being a kitsune or Kolat. GMs will find new quest hooks, NPCs, and cities to use in their campaigns. The book will release for $57.99, and come out alongside another L5R book called hadowlands about creatures and ghost hunting.
Star Wars FFG Reprints Return In December
Asmodee is putting out a whole slew of new printings of the Star Wars TTRPG originally from Fantasy Flight Games. There was a whole rights saga that led to the game being put out by Edge Studio and then transferring to Asmodee. Printings fell off for a while, leading to prices going up for the limited stock. Now that the Star Wars FFG version is being widely played, Asmodee has been reprinting its books in batches. This new batch due out in December includes:
