Dragonlance - Shadow of the Dragon Queen [1-11]
Krynn, a world still reeling from the Great Cataclysm, now faces a new and looming threat. Will you rise to meet it?
About the adventure
Krynn—a world scarred by the devastation of the Great Cataclysm—teeters once more on the brink of chaos. As old powers stir and darkness gathers, war looms on the horizon. In the midst of this unrest, a new threat rises that could engulf the land in shadow. Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen invites you to stand against the tide, to take up arms and shape the fate of a world desperate for heroes. Will you answer the call? This campaign is built around the Dungeons & Dragons 2024 ruleset, incorporating expanded materials to enrich the experience. Players will journey from level 1 to level 11, navigating the battlefields, politics, and personal struggles that define life in a world on the edge of all-out war. Expect heavy combat, tactical decision-making, and the weight of war to press on every choice. While roleplay will be present—providing opportunities to build relationships, forge alliances, and explore the cultures of Krynn—the heart of this campaign lies in its war-themed narrative. The focus is on battle, strategy, and the camaraderie formed under fire. Each session will bring the clash of steel, the roar of dragons, and the tension of an unfolding conflict that threatens to reshape the continent. Whether you're a seasoned warrior or a fledgling mage, this is your chance to leave your mark on Krynn. Rally your allies, ready your weapons, and prepare to step into the crucible of war.

Steve created an incredible one-shot campaign to help introduce me to DnD, in preparation for a Curse of Strahd campaign! The one-shot was awesome; I was able to learn game mechanics, all while having ample opportunity to be creative and express my character. Couple this with that fact that Steve is nothing short of a walking dictionary and rulebook of all things DnD, and you got yourself a quality DM who will give you a challenge, the ability to be creative, and quite an experience. Thanks Steve!
Steve's a fun and engaging DM who ran me and some friends through an excellent campaign of Dragonlance in 5E - we had a blast. He knows DnD like the back of his hand, has excellent command of his NPCs (with great voices), and is very open to player creativity. And to top it off, he's just a good dude - you can't go wrong. Cheers Steve!

What to expect
Preparing for the session
To help ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone, please have the following when joining the game. I understand that life happens and unexpected issues can arise, so there is always room for understanding and flexibility when needed. Stable Internet Connection As this is an online game, a reliable internet connection is important to stay connected and engaged. That said, I recognize that certain factors—such as weather or service outages—can be beyond anyone’s control. If issues arise, just communicate when you can, and we’ll work around them as best as possible. Computer or Laptop For the best experience with our virtual tabletop (Roll20), using a computer or laptop is highly recommended. While it's technically possible to connect via a phone or tablet, the interface is much easier to navigate on a full screen. Microphone/Headset Communication is a key part of any roleplaying game. Please have a working microphone or headset so we can all hear each other clearly. This helps keep the game immersive and collaborative.
What StevoDM brings to the table
My goal is to offer an escape from the everyday—an opportunity for all of us to step into another world, even if just for a short time. While I'm not a professional actor, I bring characters to life with fun voices, immersive background music, visual aids to help set the scene, and handouts for quick reference and deeper engagement. When it comes to both story and combat, I aim to be honest and fair. The dice tell part of the story—but so do we, together, as players and storytellers. I embrace the rule of cool when it enhances the experience, while still maintaining balance and consistency within the game's framework. Above all, my intention is to create a fun, welcoming, and unforgettable adventure for everyone at the table.

How StevoDM creates a safe table
Creating a safe and comfortable environment for everyone at the table is very important to me. If something ever makes you uncomfortable or causes concern, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m always available to talk privately outside of the session, and I’m committed to handling any issues with maturity and respect. We're all adults, and I believe in fostering open, honest communication. To support everyone’s comfort and focus, we’ll take a 10-minute break during our sessions—perfect for grabbing a drink, stretching, or using the restroom. Of course, you're not limited to this break time. If you need to step away at any point, simply let us know in the chat so we can maintain the flow of the game for the rest of the group.
