Game style

Rule of Cool (RoC)

“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.

Roleplay Heavy

“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.

Dandy is truly one of a kind on here. Someone who is passionate about their games and puts so much time in effort in their visual aids (maps, token art, you name it). All personally made too which is a huge plus on StartPlaying. A big stand out though was how they handled player interactions, staying flexible with the little rp moments that make TTRPGs so memorable! Loved playing a little bit of diner dash in game helping out an overworked mom before we got into some proper sleuthing for the big evil. Overall, I had a fantastic time and can't wait to play again!

Dandy is an amazing DM and an incredible storyteller. He was superful helpful and patient whenever I was unsure or had any questions. The homebrew world, npcs, voice acting, hand-drawn maps and character art is amazing! I had an absolute blast with my first session and looking forward to more sessions with DM Dandy!

Dandy is really good. Like really really good. He puts in a lot of time and work towards crafting his stories, characters, and worldbuilding, allowing for so many possibilities and outcomes. His art and maps are vibrant, and his roleplaying and voice acting are so dynamic, they add so much to the immersion, giving everyone a fun and engaging experience. It was also my first time ever playing D&D, and he was super supportive and patient while I learned the ropes. If you're looking for a DM that does it all, Dandy is your guy!

How will character creation work

Characters are created individually for the campaign on D&D BEYOND. I will work with all concepts to integrate them into the world and story. I will work with players individually in the creation of their characters and help them if needed so they can be approved. For this campaign, you will begin at level five.
