About the adventure
Godbound is a D20 based TTRPG that allows you to play as a God! In this campaign you'll start as an ordinary person in the world and be granted the powers of a god. Unbeknownst to you and the rest of the party a plague begins to sweep across the world and only you and your fellow newly formed Gods could hope to stop it. The bulk of the story takes place in the continent of Bleak Reach, a cold desolate place filled with savage monsters and even more savage folk. The world is dark and full of terrors, your character good or morally gray can be the shining light the people need, or the force that helps them survive just another day. The game is relatively simple in practice, and relies on player backing to gain its full potential, you'll raise up followers who will worship you and change the world to match your image. The roleplay potential here is what you make of it and the power fantasy Godbound brings is not found in most other games. So strap in and come play with us in Discord! Theater of the Mind
“Theater of the Mind” uses little to no visuals for scene settings and combat. Instead, the narrative imagery comes from the Game Master’s descriptions and character action and movement comes from Players’ descriptions.
As a new player joining this campaign, you receive a personalized prologue, tailored to your character’s backstory and motivations. These prologues are designed to weave you seamlessly into the ongoing narrative, ensuring your entry feels natural, impactful, and uniquely yours. This game allows you to choose keywords that make up your God. You can be a God of Love and Music or Blood and Battle or any other number of combinations! In this game you'll be fighting a powerful unknown threat, the kind that can destroy planets. This isn't a game of normal people with swords, this is a game where you can lift mountains, become dragons and make your enemies go mad. Your character will be extraordinarily powerful and normal people will worship and love them. However, your enemies will equally be so, the life of a god is not an easy one. *ANGEL, BIRD AND BOW WORDS ARE NOT VALID FOR THIS GAME.
