About the adventure
In Black Crusade, your character is a rebellious outcast that has dedicated their life to personal glory and the worship of Chaos. This is a perilous existence! You must triumph over your rivals, survive the Inquisition, and grow strong enough to lead your own Black Crusade against the hated Imperium. In this intro adventure, you are captive on an Imperial prison barge with other renegades (i.e. - the other PCs). The Inquisition intends for you a deadly fate, but the gods heard your prayers! A great storm forced the barge out of the Warp many light years short of its destination. Power failed across the ship, prisoners broke free, and now anarchy reigns. This may be your one chance at freedom. Do not waste it! This adventure will last 3-4 sessions. Players will have the opportunity to experience the Imperium of Man in the WH40k universe from the perspective of a "foul heretic". No experience with the Black Crusade rules is necessary nor is particular knowledge of WH40k lore. In short, beginners at any level are most welcome. Pre-gen characters will be available.
You're Chaos-worshipping criminals evading the law and hoping to make your mark on the galaxy. Imagine your character accordingly!

How to prepare
A microphone is required. You will need an account with Roll20 (free) and Discord (free). While it is useful to have access to the Black Crusade rules, this is not required. The PDF is available on DriveThru for those interested.
What I provide
We will use Roll20 for any necessary dice rolls, handouts, maps, character sheets, etc. We will use Discord for Video-Chat. My GM style relies very heavily on character motivations and player drive. While the first scenario will be set for the players, choices matter, and what happens next comes down to them. All you really need though is a desire to roleplay your character, and the maturity to play well with others.
Gameplay details
At the beginning of the first session, we'll discuss Lines and Veils, and other safety tools. After each session, we'll discuss Stars and Wishes (and XP!). Further debriefing and discussion can take place in group or one-on-one after the session is over. Bear in mind that Warhammer 40,000 is a dark place. Except that's really underselling it. It's an absolutely terrible place full of terrible people, human and non. Your characters will experience terrible things and may (very likely) do terrible things. That's in the fiction though. There is no room at my table for Real-Life sexism, racism, ableism, ageism, homophobia, transphobia, abuse, aggression, bullying, or any other kind of toxic behavior against any other player. You get one warning only, because anyone can make a mistake. After that, you're gone, but if it's really egregious, you won't even get a warning.

How will character creation work
Players can create their character on their own or get assistance in Session Zero, which is recommended. All character creation dice rolls will need to be done on the Roll20 page setup for the campaign. Players, should they be so inclined, may use any BC book to create a starting character. Pre-gens will also be available for those that desire them. Should you wish to use something from WH40k Roleplay outside Dark Heresy (i.e. - Rogue Trader, Deathwatch, Black Crusade, etc.), please check with me first.
