I got to play a CBR+PNK one shot with Arturo and it was a blast! I loved his vivid, cinematic descriptions and the way he kept things moving while managing a chaotic, high energy group and teaching us the system at the same time. Truly top notch facilitation! Arturo is also a genuine fan of the PCs. His excitement about the characters Doing Cool Stuff™ is real and infectious. If you want to take big swings, he's there pointing at the fence and cheering you on. I highly recommend you book a game with Arturo, you'll have a great time!
I've been playing Daggerheart with Jeremiah and having an awesome time every session. Jeremiah is a skilled storyteller who creates colorful and interesting NPCs and paints a lush picture of the world. He's excellent at taking unanticipated character choices and turning them into memorable, new narrative threads. Jeremiah is also great at those quieter skills that don't look flashy but make a huge difference, like pacing and managing spotlight. He's clearly a fan of the characters as well as the Daggerheart system, and it really shines through at the table. Definitely recommended!
I had a great time playing Shadowdark with Ray. I found him friendly, helpful, and engaging. He ran our game in the classic, OSR style - straightforward, tight pacing, deadly, and letting things get a little gonzo. I was also really impressed with his organization. He ran a huge dungeon - with lighting, doors, bunches of monsters and loot - very smoothly, while managing a large table of players. If you're looking for a classic, OSR style crawl, Ray's your GM!
I played a Mothership one-shot with Dom and had a great time. I felt welcomed, even though it was my first time meeting everyone at the table. He helped everyone get to grips with the system while keeping the action moving. I really appreciated how he's a fan of the characters, rewards players creativity, seeks out feedback, and clearly loves running games. He's excited about more niche game systems and fostering a community and it shines through at the table. I would definitely play with Dom again.
I'm currently playing Daggerheart with Luna and learning the system. Luna really makes being a beginner at a system feel easier. Luna is so, so patient, kind, approachable, and transparent. At the table, she strikes a good balance of being tough on the characters when appropriate and not babying them, but also being fair with the players behind the characters and being open to and rewarding their creativity. You really get the sense that she's a fan of the PCs, which is so important. She's not afraid to adjust a ruling on the fly, and also not afraid to stand by a ruling. She makes good use of organizational tools to run the game and group, but isn't rigid or demanding with anyone, including herself. If you're neurodivergent, if you belong to a marginalized community, or if you ever feel socially awkward, Luna is a great GM to work with as she makes everyone feel welcome.
