Between Tangled Roots - A 10th Level Adventure for D&D 5e's Journeys Through The Radiant Citadel
Dungeons & Dragons 5e on D&D Beyond, Roll20
Price per player-session
About the adventure
When a legendary dragon known as a bakunawa appears and attacks a town that has long revered its kind, the characters are called upon to learn why it has gone on a rampage. They must track down the bakunawa and discover the reason for its ire before dragon hunters slay the sacred creature. This adventure is a 10th-level chapter from Journeys Through The Radiant Citadel.
How to prepare
You will need a computer, headphones, and a microphone (fine if it’s an integrated mic in your computer or headphones). You will need to create a character (I can help with this if needed) and find character art - something pulled off image search is fine. We will be using Roll20 as a virtual tabletop, and you can use it for rolling dice. If you prefer the click-clack of the shiny math rocks, you are absolutely welcome to roll at home.
What I provide
I'll be providing the Discord server and Roll20 game for this session.
This adventure touches briefly on the very broad world created in JttRC, and will not explore it in its entirety. As this is a 10th level adventure, please come familiar with your character's abilities and D&D 5e rules. If you are looking for an introductory experience, I have other adventures on offer that will serve you better.
Safety tools used
- Lines and Veils
- Luxton Technique
- Open Door
- X, N, and O Cards
How will character creation work
Please make your characters (and pick out character art) beforehand! If you need assistance with this, you can always reach out to me. You are welcome to use dndbeyond.com, Roll20's built in character sheets, or good 'ole pen and paper. If you use dndbeyond, I recommend installing the beyond20 browser extension so you can roll in Roll20 directly from your character sheet. Once you’re in the discord server you’ll have access to character creation information including starting gold and magic items. We'll be doing some finalizing at the beginning of the session (setting up your tokens, vision, etc).
