A hefty 64-page zine has crawled up from the depths to bring more monsters, magic items, and mechanics to your Shadowdark games! Check out Under the Shadow of Helfast Spire, a new zine for Shadowdark RPG from YouTube sensation Bob World Builder. 

Under the Shadow of Helfast Spire takes players to a dungeon called the Coal Catacombs. This rich setting comes complete with thematic dangers such as hazardous gasses and monsters uniquely adapted to the terrain. The dungeon is based on the conditions of real coal mines, with extensive research being done by Bob World Builder on the subject. 

Tactical players will discover new loot to help them survive the dangers of the mines. Each monster has its own specialized loot, and there’s also new magic items. Players who like exploration can harvest mushroom variants that react to hazardous fumes, and can therefore warn of their presence. And, of course, what better help is there than new classes?

The zine has four new Shadowdark classes. Frontliners can be a Berserker that takes damage for allies and has exploding dice. Caster fans can make use of the Necromancer to form an entourage of corpses. Crafters can play the Mountaineer to supply the party with traps and gear. And the Tunneler is well suited to dungeons, being able to make explosives and cave in small passages.
