WizKids revealed a new miniature for the iconic Dungeons & Dragons Red Dragon, and along with it a detailed look at its 2025 Monster Manual appearance.
The D&D Icons of the Realms: Adult Red Dragon Tyrant mini will be coming to stores in July 2025 in both unpainted and pre-painted versions. The description says it is a “tyrant among evil dragons. Wielding its fiery breath like a raging inferno, Adult Red Dragons are drawn to volcanic mountaintops and burning wastelands when building their armies and impressive treasure hoards.”
As Wizkids is the official partner for DnD minis, it’s likely that both the design and description are taken straight from the upcoming Monster Manual 2025. Wizkids’ promo even boasts it as being “sculpted from the design in the newest Monster Manual.”
The Red Dragon Tyrant will not be the first 2025 dragon to hit stores - that honor goes to the Adult Black Dragon Corruptor. This mini will release at your local game store in March 2025 in both unpainted and pre-painted versions.
Both dragons will fill the battlefield with their 8-10 inch wingspans and 75mm bases. They will retail for $79.99 painted and $59.99 unpainted. Those looking to get them online can pre-order at the official WizKids mini store Dndmini.com.
