About me
Over 28 years of running roleplaying games, I've collected amazing stories as a game master for friends, family, and people I connected with online, in stores, and at conventions. My goal is remind you of your barely remembered dreams and memories. To strike a chord in you that you forgot was there. I strive to run your dream game, an immersive game that puts you in the scene, where you can exercise your creativity and make meaningful choices. In my games, the fairies are eccentric, the pirates are craven, the dragons poignant and monstrous in turn; the battles are death-defying while the gardens hide secrets just out of sight, and the dungeons make you start to question reality if you crawl deep enough. Also, Iβm honored to be a recipient of the 2022 Goodie Award presented by Goodman Games!

Storytelling
GM Brian is a great game master and is able to run a game that is a mix of experience levels. Heβs always quick to provide guidance when needed, but has a loose hand, allowing the PCs to explore. Heβs an excellent candidate if you want to learn a new system from an experienced GM.
I have gamed with Brian for almost 20 years and he is the best DM/GM that I've played with. He brings you into a dynamic, living world with ease with a great flow balancing story and game. In every game, Brian does a great job of empowering us as players to take the story to wherever our characters would naturally take it. He does a great job of setting expectations for what the game entails and that always leads to a lot of fun. He knows how to run a lot of modules really well with improvisation and spontaneous story elements seamlessly worked in - you really can't tell what was prewritten in a module or what was adapted. All in all, Brian is a fantastic DM/GM to have on your gaming team. We have a lot of fun, he communicates expectations and story really well, and we still talk about the stories we created over the years to this day from games both recent and long past.
Character creation
Creating your character
Since this game is geared toward beginning players, I will provide pre-made characters for you to choose from. That way we can jump into playing D&D right away! (If you prefer, you can make a character in D&D Beyond before the session. Just send me the link to your character when its finished and let me know if you have any questions.)
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You'll need a Discord account and a D&D Beyond account. Both are free to sign-up for and just take a minute. https://discord.com/ https://www.dndbeyond.com/ I'll send you an invite to my Discord server soon after you sign-up.
What Brian brings to the table
You can expect to learn the core rules of D&D: the kinds of rolls, what the information on your character sheet means, take turns, and what I think of as the flow of play. You'll experience all three "pillars" of play: social interaction, exploration, and combat. After this game you'll be able to go to any other D&D game and play with confidence. I provide full-color maps maps to play on, created by myself. Ambience and my character voices help evoke the world of the adventure. This adventure has a relaxed pace so you can take time to ask questions.

How Brian creates a safe table
This game will be rated G or PG at most and I ask each player to honor that. We'll take a 5 minute break halfway through the session. We'll also go over expectations and potential concerns with content in the beginning of the session.
