About the adventure
The people of Lymeria haven't encountered a dragon for over a century, until now. In this high-fantasy Dungeons and Dragons 5e campaign for 4-6 7th level characters, players will be thrust into taking a protective role against the coming dragon onslaught as these brutal monsters try to reclaim their old domain from the good people of Lymeria. How far will they be willing to go to save the continent from the rule of dragons?

About me
If you are looking to start an epic story with your quirky character, with a good balance of roleplay and combat encounters, and you appreciate a non-antagonistic relationship between player and DM where your character's autonomy is respected, I am the Dungeon Master for you. I'm very comfortable with the rules of D&D 5e, while also open to house rulings and a general "rule of cool" attitude. My priority when running a campaign is to facilitate a fun experience. I would be honored to run a game for you.

Creating your character
In session 0, we will build level 8 characters. Multi-classing is allowed. We will also determine how the characters know each other and why they are in the starting location.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need to download and install Discord and Fantasy Grounds Unity. A link to the Discord server will be provided prior to Session 0. We will not be using webcams, so all you need is a microphone.
What Fortunato The Bard brings to the table
I have a Fantasy Grounds Unity Ultimate license and many of the DnD 5e sourcebooks, so there is no need to purchase anything.
Homebrew rules
1. Flanking Bonus When a creature is flanked (i.e., two allies are on opposite sides in melee), attackers gain +2 to melee attack rolls against it. 2. Overwhelm Bonus If four or more allies are adjacent to a single enemy in melee combat and at least two are flanking, they gain a +5 to melee attack rolls against that target. This bonus replaces the flanking bonus; they do not stack. 3. Standing from Prone Standing up from prone costs 15 feet of movement instead of the standard half movement speed. 4. Potion Use Bonus Action: Drink a potion for a normal roll of its healing amount. Action: Drink a potion and heal the maximum possible amount.

How Fortunato The Bard creates a safe table
Players can expect heart-pounding combat with an ever present risk of character death and massive consequences for failure. Session 0 will be for character creation, explaining house rules, and a frank discussion on what to expect and what players would be uncomfortable with.
