Something Witchlight This Way Comes
Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign
About the adventure
Journey into the Feywild, and beyond, in this adventure! This campaign will follow characters from levels 1-15. The first half will follow the critically acclaimed Wild Beyond the Witchlight module. The second half... well, it could go many places. Perhaps to Shadowfell, where opposites abound. Maybe further into the Feywild, in search of innocence lost. Or even to Gehenna, to seek veangeance and evil! It's up to YOU to decide! This campaign will be a whirlwind of whimsy, psychedelia, and - sometimes - a dash of horror. Wild Beyond the Witchlight will be modified to be much less linear than the original module, and beyond that your extraplanar travels will be open to travel across many possibilities. We will build a story together, based around your character's histories and choices, to lead into a satisfying climax. This campaign is welcome to veterans and newbies alike! Be prepared to roleplay and make tough decisions. Whether combat happens or not is ultimately up to the players, but expect the combat that does happen to not hold any punches!
Game style
Rule of Cool (RoC)
“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.
Roleplay Heavy
“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.
This adventure will be using the new 2024 ruleset for character creation! Cameras optional! (But encouraged) By joining this game, you affirm: - You're a cool person and won't engage in any transphobia, ableism, misogyny, racism, etc. - You're down for a whimsical adventure with some chill peeps - You like to tell interesting stories about your character

I had the pleasure of playing a few D&D sessions run by Corb, and I genuinely enjoyed every moment. Corb has crafted a unique and fascinating world filled with creative features I'd never encountered before, which kept me engaged throughout each session. One of the standout aspects of his DM style, for me, is the depth and memorability of his NPCs. Each character we ran into felt fully realized, brought to life with fun and distinctive voice acting that truly enhanced the experience. Additionally, his use of thematic music, TV-style recaps, and trailers at the beginning and end of each session gave the campaign a polished and professional feel—it genuinely felt like stepping into an epic series. Corb's mastery of improvisation is always on full display: He seamlessly weaves puns, humor, and spontaneity into every scene, keeping the atmosphere lively and enjoyable. The campaign itself offered a nice blend of combat, puzzles, exploration, and roleplay, catering equally well to seasoned players and those new to D&D. Plus, the monsters he introduced were absolutely terrifying in the best possible way! Overall, I had a great time playing in Corb's games. His sessions are entertaining and wonderfully executed—I highly recommend!
I highly recommend Sir Salman Corbette's workshops to any GM or player who wants to enhance their improv skills. His more than a decade of experience as a professional improv artist and teacher shows in the beneficial practical exercises and engaging exchange between participants.
Corb is the best roleplaying GM I've ever played with. If you're looking for narrative and willing to put in a little effort in creative writing, he is excellent at incorporating backstories and bringing your character into the story. He is also the best character actor I've had the pleasure to play against. Even the shopping sessions are a lot of fun, going to different shops and interacting with the different shopkeepers. You can't go wrong with his games!
Additional details
How to prepare
Players should have a roll20 account, and discord with a working mic. Character sheets and compendium access will be provided through Roll20. Other than that, just a bright voice and a willingness to play!
What I provide
I will bring access to the Roll20 5e core compendium (including the Witchlight compendium of course), strong voice acting, dramatic and ambient scoring, and maybe some silliness
Gameplay details
Players can expect a mixture of whimsical roleplay, tough decisions, and a bit of combat. In the second half, they can expect to lead on the next direction of play.

How will character creation work
Characters will be made ahead of time, in consultation with me, in order to properly situate them within the world/story (or to situate the world around them!). Characters can be made in roll20, or D&D Beyond and imported.
