About Viktor (Velethos) Winberg

I discovered roleplaying during my 27th winter, and realized it was what I searched for all my life. I have experienced nothing as potentially rewarding as roleplaying, and I do as much as I can spread that joy to others. Since the discovery I have spent a tremendous amount of my time into learning, playing and GMing. Unfortunately the real world has bills to pay, otherwise I would only play for free. Comminication is key, without it there is not a roleplaying game. I will communicate all I can, and expect the same from my Players. Whatever I know I might understand, whatever I understand I might help fulfill. Some games are adversarial, I consider roleplaying a cooperation between all participants. But failed communication might break the cooperation, until we communicate again. I never expect my Players to have a perfect knowledge of the games rules, but the more you already know the less we need to slow down the game. My hope is that I know the world and its rules, while my Players know their character and its rules. You might notice that I capitalize the word Players, because a Player is equally as important to the story and gameplay as a GM.

How Viktor (Velethos) Winberg runs games

I am not the best at voices or accents, but I do try as often as able. To me the experience is most about the story, rather than gaming. Not a story I am trying to force upon others but the story we are all making together, hence I encourage out-of-gameplay conversations so each participant can clarify what they are intending or hoping. What we dont say is not known, and what is not known cannot be a story told by others. I am also all for molding the flavour of a feature or spell or whatever into the flavour a Player seeks, most times it is easier and faster to just change the flavour aspects insead of reinventing a very similar mechanic with a different description. I play cooperative games, telling a story together. Antagonistic games, Players-vs-GM, holds no interest to me.
