About the adventure

The world has fallen sick from the use of atomic weapons, and now what is left of civilization is airborne. The lack of supplies or laws has reverted a once civil people back to the days of the pirates. Approximating the 1930s as the peak of technology before regression to Swords & Black Powder became necessary. Join the crew as a small pirate ship sails the clouds in search of resources and adventure! This crew will find monsters, myth, and magic as they visit other airships fashioned into cities or even visit the surface with protective gear to scrounge for artifacts long thought lost.

About me

I am a longtime TTRPG GM that loves D&D & GURPS, with a large library of books, art assets, and time to share with my players, it is my favorite thing to do. I am a huge fan of roleplay and often modify mechanics to benefit storytelling & session fluidity. Character creation

Creating your character

Character Creation will take place individually, with each respective player and the GM. Once both parties agree, the characters will be introduced to each other in a Session 0; during which, the players & GM ensure everyone has a solid understanding of the party members' abilities and proficiencies. Characters will start at 125 Points, and character discussion will occur, both during initial creation with the GM and later during/after Session 0.

Bring a solid character idea, and maybe character art, with a token. You'll need to have Discord to communicate.

What John brings to the table

Foundry VTT, which is free to players and custom art assets & maps, some powered by AI. Ambient music will be used to set the tone and mood of a location or scene. The airship model provides the players with limited places to go as well as providing characters with ample downtime. This roleplay will confine overall possibilities but still provide multiple solutions to any given problems. Charm, Harm, & Evasion will remain options as you meet other pirate crews, explore massive airships retrofitted into cities, and gaze upon massive sky monsters.

How John creates a safe table

The GM and players will have a Session 0 where they discuss content they don't want to see, and how to go forward so everyone is happy. Players can also discuss breaks, as needed, for longer sessions.
