About the adventure
"Well, gentlefolk... It seems your lives reached the bottom of the barrel, knocked on wood and decided to start digging. You might have made one or two powerful enemies here in Alkenstar, the bounty on your heads might attract the wrong kind of attention, and yes, you might find yourselves on the odd side of the law... But the truth is that in the City of Smog law and justice aren't exactly friends. Luckily, I'm here for you to find the justice you seek. And well... If I scratch your back... Catch my meaning?" — Foebe Dunsmith Wecome to Alkenstar, the City of Smog! To be sure one of the most industrious, hostile and interesting places in all of Golarion. You'll play as an unlucky (or otherwise not exactly outstanding) band of characters who had a bad run-in with the wrong folks, who unfortunately made of the arm of the law their personal plaything. Luckily, you also attracted the attention of Foebe Dunsmith, the dwarven proprietor of the Bullet & Barrel Saloon. How to prepare
You'll need a Discord account, and to join the Discord server to join the sessions' calls! You'll need a decent microphone and internet connection. The use of the webcam is not mandatory but is strongly encouraged!
What I provide
I will host our games on Foundry, a Virtual Tabletop that you will be able to access just using your usual browser. I have a Discord server, Cortestoria, that we will use to communicate between sessions, and also host the videochat for the sessions proper! To manage the characters we'll use Demiplane, a useful website that handles character sheets for various games. On Demiplane I will also share the digital version of Pathfinder books, so you can access the rules of the game whenever you want. Making an account there is not strictly required but is recommended!
Gameplay details
The adventure is based around the usual tropes of high fantasy, mixed with some western themes. There ARE going to be gunfights, combat, explosions and similar high-tension things. Alkenstar is also a roudy place, where the rich get advantage over the poor, and the normal folk has to face hardy lives and living conditions. If these are triggering themes for you, unfortunately I think you'd not enjoy the game in general. Before the first actual play session, I will share with you a copy of the Monte Cook Consent Checklist. You can use this to privately make me aware of specific problematic themes that might be triggering for you. I will then make sure to adapt the adventure so that it is enjoyable for everyone!

How will character creation work
I will give a link to the Player Guide for the Outlaws of Alkenstar Adventure Path. You should really read these before starting to create your character! You will need to create a Level 1 character for the Remaster rules of Pathfinder Second Edition. I suggest to use Demiplane to do so, but other tools exist out there, like Pathbuilder! We'll review characters and cover character creation via chat before the first session. In case you want to have a go at it in your own please only use common or uncommon traits from basic rules, or related to the adventure itself!
