Got an itch to face THAT last critter of the Beginners box? Here's your chance! We just hit LvL. 2 and the full Otari garrison is about to square off with THAT final critter of the beginners box, an ideal place to drop-in and begin adventuring or start playing altogether! (PF2e Beginners Box spoilers ahead) BLURB: The smithy runs to the knot of guards outside the fishery, and stares at a familiar face in uniform. "Is it true?!' "Cap'n says we're hunting a giant lizard or Some such. Tamily's mercs say it's a dragon. But who trusts Mercs?"

    About the adventure

Why should you learn to play Pathfinder 2e? Because it's clear, complete (not complex), and balanced enough so both you as a player and your character can grow epically without feeling constrained by a restrictive system. Do you need any experience? No. Do you have to do math? No. (unless you want) Do you have to act or do voices? Except for being a douche to your fellow players, there is no "right" or "wrong" way to play, just different styles for different people. Why with me? Experience, patience, and flexibility to build a pleasant collaborative story (What makes TTRPGs unique is that it is the players who write the story) The game will cover all current edition Paizo published material on the Otari area (Beginner's box, troubles in Otari, The abomination Vaults AP) as well as original custom material arraigned into a single, cohesive, story. We start with your arrival on a town called Otari. As you explore, you will get to know its people and their troubles. Perhaps you will help the nicest most transparent lady you've ever met taking on a dangerous job at the local fishery, help the local loggers, priests, a singing orc farmer, investigate the haunted ruins of a burned out tavern or even daring to traverse the swamp and investigate the old weird inland lighthouse. The Master's (me) only job is to describe the world and arbitrate the disputes that you may have with it (yes, the world is stubborn and won't let us succeed without effort. Pffff, stupid world). This game will be played in English, but I'm Spanish-friendly. If you want a run in Spanish, or a hybrid Eng/Spa game to practice and learn Spanish, feel free to contact me!

    How to prepare

You will need: Internet connection Functional microphone and speakers (or headphones). A Forge account (https://forge-vtt.com/) A Chromium compatible web browser Opera, Opera GX, Chrome, or Edge (or its equivalent on mac). Discord user account (mainly to troubleshoot the Forge's A/V chat on the first session) . No TRASH (Transphobia, Racism, Ableism, Sexism, Homophobia) at the table. If I, at 50+ years of age, have chosen not to be a prejudiced grumpy old man and treat everyone who approaches me with respect, being younger you can do that, right?

    What I provide

I have all the digital assets needed to run the game including the Virtual tabletop (Foundry VTT). Life long experience in teaching TTRPGs

    Gameplay details

If you have phobias, or trigger subjects, I'll provide a Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist and go over the proposed group's lines and veils on the first session. Even if you don't have phobias I still advice to take a look at it just in case. Remember to submit your stars (what you liked about how I'm doing things and want me to keep doing) and wishes (What would you like to see in the game). In session zero we'll finish up the characters, and discuss the consent list, as well as security tools, game limits, and the range of game tones and themes. Please deliver the consent list that I will pass before the session or during the first minutes. If you join after the zero session we will meet in a virtual meeting before the game.

    How will character creation work

Greetings! This is Olaf, your Game Master wishing you well and fun. To make the most of our time together please: Should you want to make (or have done) your character, let me know through the SPG party chat so we can check all the boxes and see if we can come up with some cool backstories (they may reward you with uncommon equipment or options). If you feel like beginning on your own please do so with pathbuilder (https://pathbuilder2e.com/), use common options, and when finished open the menu and use the export JSON option to create the character ID for me to check. I'll provide the level of help you request and materials you'll need: from making a character together to handing you a pre-generated character after telling me which playstyle you think you'll enjoy, to anything in between, I'll be there for you.
