Dealt with this for a while, questioned it even. But another player and I chatted over something completely off target of this and when the discussion led to this the answer came clear. AI responses in a Play By Post. I can't say it's 100% of the time. But it's enough of the time that it disconnects you. Until this Game Master stops using AI and puts their focus into the story and players, I wouldn't waste a dime upon them.
Argilla does well on Narrative, World Building, NPCs and Character Building. I like their flexibility, ability to adjust to character choices, and the diversity of NPCs. Though I have very limited sessions, I am enjoying Argilla's GM capabilities and look forward for a long term engagement.
Herald kicks my butt. Herald leaves me in dangerous situations. Herald has me make tough decisions. But you know what. Herald is awesome because I get to have my hopes and dreams dashed by an amazing story teller. So far, I've had an amazing experience. Thank you so far, we completed my prelude and have gotten pretty far in our current segment. I look forward to the future Herald.
My take on Josh as a Dungeon Master/Game Master. Well built world. Engaging NPCs and side characters. Detailed and fluid. Builds up characters and brings their goals into the picture. Caters to all kinds. Fair. Knowledgeable. Helpful. Patient. I have had a blast in his game, even when I didn't think I was.
