Eyeonshua puts a lot of effort and love into the worlds he builds and stories he creates for his Players. He’s been one of my GMs that has the “I always have something to learn and improve” attitude which has been really nice because no matter how many times I’ve been in his table, the experience is always different. His production value has changed for the better over the year I’ve played in his tables. He also makes sure that there’s quality of life for his players. Definitely one of the GMs I’d recommend to newbie players. In terms of player agency, he gives plenty of room for creativity. You merely have to tell him what you’d like to do and he’ll talk about it with you and work with you to make it happen while keeping the story, other players, and rules in mind. His style of GMing is “yes, and” and that’s been one of my favourite things to find in a GM.
Mildew primarily runs his games via Foundry and Owlbear. His production value in Foundry is always really cool and fun. He sets it up in such a way that it’s visually engaging to the players as well as having quality of life things for both him and his players. Paired with a tailored soundtrack, you truly do feel how much passion he puts into his games. There’s less production value when he uses Owlbear but he still make sure to give good visuals and sets things up to make things easier for his players to create their characters. He’s been good at guiding newbie players. I’ve been introduced to various TTRPG systems with my friends and he did well in teaching us how they work. The combat he sets up for Fabula Ultima are also incredibly fun! There’s a unique gimmick for each fight so you never feel like you’re doing the same fights over and over. He doesn’t do puzzles, however, which is unfortunate because I enjoy solving puzzles. He allows for exploration but there’s usually a limited amount of places you can go. It’s kind of like when you play JRPGs and you visit a city and you only have key places you can go to. Other key points is that he lets you be creative as long as it makes narrative sense. All you have to do is describe to him what you want to do and he’ll tell you how you can achieve that. There’s room for player agency which is nice. He also encourages the players to negotiate with him for bonuses to rolls or advantage or to just be able to do the thing. Lastly, he gives enough time for players to RP, interact with the world, and interact with each other so the players can feel invested in the games he runs even if it’s just a one shot. TLDR; Roleplay - 5/5 Combat - 5/5 Exploration - 3/5 Puzzles - 2/5 Visuals/Sounds - 5/5 Player Rapport - 5/5
