I’ve been playing in James’ PbP games for a while now, though not through SPG, and they’ve been an absolute blast.
 Not only does he know the rules and lore (of D&D) like the back of his hand, but he’s also a phenomenal writer and storyteller. He genuinely cares about the player experience and instinctively tailors each game to what you enjoy most. Whether I’ve wanted to play a straightforward “classic” character or create a completely home-brewed hybrid race who happens to be the chosen of a god, he’s supported it wholeheartedly and woven my ideas seamlessly into the narrative. He also has a lot of original ideas to add twists and turns to existing content. Even if you’ve played through an adventure/campaign before - it’ll be a whole new experience! 
 In duet-style games, I tend to prefer when the DM also runs a PC so the story feels like a true party adventure. Whether that’s your preference or you like a more traditional DM/player dynamic, you won’t find someone who puts more creativity, compassion, and thoughtfulness into crafting deep, believable characters with rich histories. I’ve adored every character he’s created and building relationships with them throughout the game is delightful. And beyond all that, he’s simply an incredible human being - kind, compassionate and a very patient teacher if you’re new to the game (or PbP). He will make sure you feel comfortable, supported, and safe at the table.

Megan is an absolute blast and a very kind and welcoming person. Whether she is the DM or a player - you're sure to have fun mixed with at least a little chaos. She is very open to player agency and creativity, extremely homebrew friendly - plus she knows her stuff!

Chex has been great! I am new to CoC and they have been great at teaching the game and patient with re-explaining things when needed. The game is flexible, laid-back, and a lot of fun. They put a lot of effort and thought into the game and it shows. I felt like I was very free to create my character in any way I wanted. Chex is very welcoming to all and is understanding when issues come up or someone needs to miss a session.

Ned is a great DM! He knows his stuff and has a very detailed and rich home-brewed world that is a lot of fun to play in and learn about. He's welcoming and helps new people get comfortable. Highly recommend!

I joined Moss's game after it was already started and they have been great. I'm an eager player and Moss did not miss a beat - let me jump right in. They are a great storyteller with rich home-brewed NPCs but also let players have a lot of freedom. Not to mention, they are great to shoot the shit with outside of the game. Highly recommend!
