About me
I know for a fact my love of immersive roleplaying and Dungeons & Dragons was implanted in my brain when I picked up my first Choose Your Own Adventure book in the 3rd grade. I was one of those "talented and gifted" students of the late 80s and early 90s (we call ourselves neurodivergent now). And I would routinely disrupt others after finishing my work (cough, cough, undiagnosed ADHD). My first grade teacher would scold me, send me down to the office to sit on the long, cold, wooden bench in the office where I would chatter and disrupt the office lady instead. My second grade teacher sent me outside to pound erasers against the brick building - I was supposed to smack them together in front of me, but that would send me into an asthmatic (also undiagnosed) fit. But one day, my brilliant third grade teacher, may the gods bless his soul, would send me down to the library to file books. So, after learning the Dewey Decimal system, filing away a pile of sticky books, I'd go cozy up in the reading corner where no one could see me and bother me, and read through every single option in every single new Choose Your Adventure book that passed through that tiny elementary school library in the Middle-of-No-Where-Michigan. Fast-forward to my 30s, yes, my 30s, and my partner introduced me to Dungeon's & Dragons, and my mouth formed a little "Oh!" and my brain did a little BOOM! and that was that. I have been forever changed. I have been a player exclusive for over a decade now but am now dipping my toes and making the plunge into Dungeon Mastering, by play-by-post exclusive walking (writing) new players through the basics of learning D&D in a way that's at your own place either by yourself or bring a friend along (tangible or imaginary, up to you). Or, perhaps you are a seasoned player who wants to try play-by-post for the first time. With me as your Dungeon Master you will find someone patient, creative, imaginative, who will give you an incredibly personalized experience over the sharing of words and the collective building of a little world together -- a little break from the chaos of the real world outside into an inner one that you have more of a say in. I truly believe that playing Dungeons and Dragons and writing both are a cathartic experience and with me as your Dungeon Master, I can help you find a little world of your own that brings you joy, adventure, and whatever it is you are looking for that brings you excitement. xo Moss
GM Style
At the moment, I am focused on two demographics of players: those wanting to learn how to play D&D, and those who already know how to play D&D who want to learn how to play-by-post and want a heavy roleplaying writing session 1-on-1(2). All games I host are 1-on-1(2). [You may bring a friend, real, or imaginary.] Except colorful NPCs, engaging conversations with said NPCs, creation of descriptive headspaces. I am also often in the mood to read aloud your story so that you have more of an in person experience while doing so at a time that works for you. I try to make your experience very personal, very special and unique to you and your character.
