About Gray
I'm an Aspiring Game Designer and Pixel Artist with a long time love of ttrpgs! I started playing at 8 years old in Changeling the Dreaming, and started GMing in high school with Pathfinder 1st edition. I'm a queer friendly agender games master with a love of expressing characters through mechanics and level and map designs! I fully believe that a rich detailed world inspires rich detailed characters. Although I would describe myself as combat oriented GM, a good meaningful combat means investing in the characters even outside of the mechanics, and doing nothing but combat all the time doesn't make for the most engaging campaign.

How Gray runs games
I aim to make challenging encounters, but I dislike killing player characters. I love world building and intrigue, both in the political sense and in interparty relationships. Past players have described me as detail oriented, extremely flexible to improvisation, and very welcoming to new players. I love all sorts of ttrpg systems, and I have introduced many new players to games like Lancer, Cyberpunk, and even Dread. I am extremely patient when it comes to teaching new rules, and dedicated in lessening the burden of learning new systems. I firmly believe that even as a GM I am a player at the table too, I might play the antagonist, but I myself am not the antagonist. It's the job of every player to share a compelling story with the rest of the table.
Gray's ideal table
I strive to create a welcoming environment where my players are free to express themselves through play and actively want to collaborate with each other and myself to craft a story together. I use safety tools (largely the x-card, but I also check pre-game for players limits and what types of scenes folks might not like. One of my long-time players has severe arachnophobia, for example, so I don't include spiders in any game with him). I want my players to be active participants in the story, and who share the spotlight.

I think min/maxing...
I tend to prefer systems that focus on teamwork rather than individual players, min-maxing a party for powerful synergy for team players is, to me, much more compelling both in the story and in play than min/maxing individual characters.
