About Persephone Winter
Howdy folks I'm Persephone Winter and I have been a GM for over a decade. I started with D&D 3.5 in Middle School and since have run and played in many games across tons of systems, though my most run is D&D 5e. I come from a history background, so worldbuilding and lore is often a large part of my games. I have run a large variety of campaigns, from having a single player to running West Marches with over 80 players at once. I've run games that were dungeon crawls through tons of combat and games where there wasn't combat for real world months, though my main style is a more roleplay focus on average. Above all my goal in every session is to have the story we create together always focus on the player characters as they are the protagonists of our narratives and that we all have fun together.

I got started GMing...
When I was in Middle School and have been running campaigns consistently ever since.
My favorite books are
House of Leaves, Percy Jackson, and A Song of Ice and Fire.
My favorite system of all Time is
Call of Cthulhu though it's not the system I've run the most.
How Persephone Winter runs games
My style is a mix of combat, exploration, and roleplay though with roleplay at the center of it. While I enjoy having many sandbox elements in my games, I always try to make sure there is a central plot to push the sessions along. I love creating worlds with people so worldbuilding is a big part of my games as I always try my best to integrate backstories throughout the campaign while creating unique settings. In the end I have two goals, have fun and tell an interesting story together.

I prep by
Separating my ideas by important characters and locations then detailing them. I don't create solutions to problems; I create a world for players to interact with as they want to.
My games focus on...
A mix of combat, exploration, and roleplay though I do have a bit more of preference towards roleplay.
Rules are...
There to help facilitate the fun and the story we create together, if they get in the way of either then I'm willing to change or ignore them for the best experience possible.
Persephone Winter's ideal table
I enjoy all kinds of vibes and ideas being brought to the table, all I desire is that everyone is kind and respectful to each other and that they're engaged in the game we're taking part in.
Featured Prompts
I am for a vibe that's...
A mix of serious and comedic moments so that neither fully dominate a game, though of course the amount of each shift depending on the campaign's vibe.
I love it when a player
Asks questions about the setting and wants to engage with the world.
I think min/maxing...
Can be fun if everyone is on board with it. What's more important is that each party member feels equally strong, I can always adjust the difficulty to fit the party.
