About the adventure
Have you wanted to play Dungeons and Dragons, but the sight of the character sheet fills you with anxiety? AC? DC? What exactly is proficiency, and how does it affect what I can do? If you just want to play a brilliant gnome wizard, or a hardy dwarf barbarian, but are intimidated by the boxes, and circles, and obscure seeming jargon present on the typical sheet, this is the session for you. I will help you learn what all the parts of the sheet mean, how you complete them as a player, and give you the knowledge to confidently create your own character for your next D&D session, or know how to use any pregens that you may be given. After learning about the sheet, we will play a short session where you get to test out your generated characters and learn the basics of how they work. Warning: when we are done you may find yourself creating more characters than you could ever play...not that I would know anything about that.

How to prepare
You will need a working mic, Discord, and a free roll20 account. You do not need a web cam, but are completely welcome to use one if you wish. You do not need to bring anything else except an interest in learning how to create a character and use the D&D 5e sheets.
What I provide
I will bring the knowledge of how sheets work, how to use them in roll20 (and for in person, as well as providing some other information about other platforms), and will run the mini-adventure for your new characters.
Gameplay details
As we will mostly be focused on learning about how to use a character sheet, the scenario we use to play your characters is very malleable; it will have combat, some RP, and some exploration. If there is specific content that you wish to avoid entirely, please let me know and I will make sure it does not show up at all. Additionally, we will have the X, N, and O cards in game so we can stop at any point if anyone starts to feel uncomfortable.

How will character creation work
We will be creating level 1 characters. That is the entire point of this session. :) We will be creating them live on roll20, and using them on that VTT to test and learn how the various aspects of character sheets work.
